Marlene Rutzendorfer studied architecture in Vienna and Paris. She is head of movies in wonderland film festival / productions and curator of Vienna’s Architektur.Film.Sommer at Az W / Architekturzentrum Wien. Her research focuses on counter narratives, civic space, and care in relation to art, architecture, and film. From 2016 – 2018, she held a Visiting Scholarship at Harvard University. Marlene teaches at the Institute for Art and Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and has curated formats on architecture, urbanism, and film for wonderland in cooperation with various institutions, such as Harvard GSD, DAZ Berlin, the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024 (Blickpunkte Festival, Regional_Express), Archtober @ Austrian Cultural Forum New York, IBA_Wien Neues Soziales Wohnen, and Blickle Kino / Belvedere 21.
