Mary Sarsam is a project manager, artist, and researcher who brings together diverse fields from workshop facilitation and teaching to social work, event coordination, cultural programming and performance. Her work adopts a spatial lens to examine ecological and political topics, weaving together place, memory, and environment.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Vienna and a Master of Fine Art and Design from Avans University of Applied Sciences, Mary has developed expertise in social, queer, and urban studies. She is currently investigating innovative approaches to research and communication through artistic practice.
As an active member of the Broudou School collective—a learning community dedicated to creative research and experimentation in ecology, agriculture, and food systems—she contributes to collaborative projects. She is also committed to global seed-saving and de-colonial farming initiatives, connecting her academic work with grassroots environmental action.
