What is the Inclusive City and how do we want to shape it together? How do we create a city that is more than just a vessel into which we are all supposed to fit? How can we best create friction to generate attention and, where necessary, redesign the city together? How can we define inclusivity together and what role can placemaking play in this? The Movies in Wonderland Dialogues on the Inclusive City bring together students, filmmakers, planners, and a diverse audience to discuss public space for all* along the Danube Canal, watch films, and explore the surroundings together through tours and talks.

On the outskirts of Vienna, a group ventured into the still undeveloped and undefined open spaces of Rothneusiedl and collaboratively created interventions that challenge conventional participatory processes in urban planning through practical action. How can we get to know a place by eating its landscape? How can we rethink relationships through sport and play? “Fringy Fields ” playfully explores open spaces in the city and offers a glimpse into the future.

Kaleidoskop is an open and independent format. Its aim is to work with local people on issues that affect their immediate urban living environment.
