The blind date call 2015 received numerous interesting entries coming from ten different countries across Europe. We will share through an exhibition in Museum of Architecture and Design – MAO (SI) and on our digital platform the most relevant approaches. 3 teams are invited to Ljubljana (SI) to shape the interactive debate in September 2015.
The blind date open call received inspiring and creative approaches from various countries and made the selection hard for the Jury. The jury consisted of Boštjan Bugarič and Mateja Kurir, both from KUD C3 (SI), Matevž Čelik director of MAO (SL) and Bahanur Nasya, director of Wonderland (AT).
The selected groups to be taken part in Blind date Ljubljana on the topic of Urban Realities are:
Jason Hildefort, Land & Civilization Compositions (Rotterdam, The Nederlands)
Tomaz Pipan and Georg Hubmann, Urban as I (Ljubljana, Slovenia)
Giulia Carabelli and Ursula Dimitriou, SYN (London, United Kingdom)
The Urban Realities blind date will include an exhibition and a workshop in Ljubljana, that will follow up with an open discussion about the proposed solutions for the voids in Ljubljana, prepared by the selected finalist. This event concentrates on the empty and from the public withhold pits in Ljubljana (SI) – they are for years reserved for newer happening constructions.
The jury invited the 3 finalist and additional 6 groups to present their work according to the topic as a short video presentation, which will be presented in the MAO in September.
