Space to Move!

Posted on: 31st May 2025

After a week of debating the weather, changing plans, and hoping for sun, Space to Move finally came to life at the end of April! As part of the Schwendermarkt Spring Festival, and in collaboration with the loginsleben association, we joined the Grätzllabor Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus to bring movement into public space—and the long-awaited sunshine even showed up.

This event celebrated the end of the two-year EU Erasmus+ project CISCA. During the event, we shared what was achieved through CISCA and showed how community sport can bring people of all backgrounds and abilities together. We also shared and once again tested our CISCA learning tools, which are designed to support social inclusion and the use of sport to transform public spaces.

Led by the inspiring Karin Cheng, we started with a freestyle dance workshop full of improvisation and flow. Andrea Vezga energized the square with her joyful Afro-Venezuelan fusion dance. Radoslav from loginsleben grounded us with sensorimotor deep muscle exercises, followed by Alfred’s engaging Karatedo session.

We ended the day on a high note with Serge Koffi-Coulon’s vibrant social dance workshop—dancing, bouncing, and celebrating together.

The impact was clear: people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities came together, moved together, and shared in the joy of collective movement. Though CISCA may be wrapping up, Space to Move is just the beginning of more open, inclusive moments in our shared public spaces.
