Since 2020, movies in wonderland has curated freely accessible online films on architecture and the built environment. This year’s #Online #Architecture #Film #Festival features short documentaries and portraits on the subject of „Democratic Spaces: Resilient Communities.“
Platforms, such as the Louisiana Museum of Art´s Online Channel, arte.tv, or movies in wonderland´s cooperation partner Mies.Magazin feature short interviews, portraits, and pieces on architecture.
This year, we would like to highlight films in relation to public space, housing, and the collective heritage of the built environment.
The Alte Weberei in Ebensee was founded in 1910 as a spinning mill and remained in operation, with some interruptions, until the 1990s. Today, the old industrial building offers space for a wide range of uses.

”Every site has a memory, and we’re trying to dig to discover what’s underneath, what nobody has written and explained. We want to start digging down to discover a site’s different pasts.”
”Time is about continuity. Time never stops, and it’s always continuing. Humans make periods to make things countable or measurable. But time never stops; it continues. And memory is about collectivity. It’s called collective memory. It’s not just one personal memory; our human existence is accumulated from generation to generation. So as an architect, I try to dig into the memory of the place, to collect, to think archaeologically, and thus to create an architecture for the future.” (Tsuyoshi Tane)
Tsuyoshi Tane was interviewed for Louisiana Channel by Marc-Christoph Wagner in his Paris studio in September 2025.

Kate Orff examines the relationship between humans, nature, and the power of community.
”One thing that drew me to landscape architecture is that you must think with both sides of your brain. There’s a highly visionary, creative side to what you do. It’s propositional thinking. It’s like, what if? And so it’s very, very future-oriented. But then the other half is very technical, science-driven, almost engineering. And landscape kind of melds those two things at every moment.”
Kate Orff was interviewed by Marc-Christoph Wagner in her studio in New York in March 2025.
