Fair Mobility, is a collaborative EU project aiming to transform mobility and accessibility frameworks in a sustainable and inclusive way, focusing on women and gender minorities. The project has two case studies at the heart of the research and exchange: Ebensee, Austria & Creil, France.
As Wonderland, we’re proud project partner in this project.
Local workshop on finding solutions
To celebrate Women’s Day, we met on 7 March 2025 at the Frauen*forum Salzkammergut. Together with local actors, we spent the afternoon reflecting on mobility issues for women and gender minorities.
After introductions and a presentation of the activities of the Frauen* Forum Salzkammergut over the past year, the event began with a workshop. Participants were asked to collect challenges and solutions to mobility issues in Ebensee.
Case studies were presented on posters and discussed in detail with citizens and stakeholders. Participants were invited to write down suggestions and ideas, which were then summarised and reflected upon.

co-envisioning public space
The inspiration from the workshop and the case studies was then taken out into the public space as the group walked towards Marktgasse (Steinerne Brücke) and collectively imagined the future use of the space. Together with wheelchairs, strollers and walkers, they explored the limits of accessibility and felt the challenge of movement first hand.
A new park bench was inaugurated in a public square in Ebensee and there they reflected on the question: “What would I need to spend more time in public space?”
After the process, the group met again at the Frauen*Forum Salzkammergut’s headquarters for further reflection and discussion on equality in public spaces and the needs of the community!
