INTERACTIVE BLIND DATE @ LJUBLJANA (SI)
creative visions for abandoned construction pits
by Boštjan Bugarič and Mateja Kurir
in collaboration with Museum of Architecture and Design (Ljubljana)
We are glad to announce an interactive Blind Date of architects, planners and experts in urban development on 24th September 2015 in Museum of Architecture and Design (Ljubljana).
Under the title “Urban Realities” a collaboration of three selected finalists will present their ideas on the reanimation of abandoned construction pits in Ljubljana: Jason Hildefort (Netherlands), Tomaž Pipan and Georg Hubmann (Slovenia, Germany) and Giulia Carabelli and Ursula Dimitriou (United Kingdom). Teams will work together with Urša Jurman and Polonca Lovšin (KUD Obrat), Mateja Kurir and Boštjan Bugarič (KUD C3).
Blind date is a special type of event, when young architects, urban planners and other experts meet for the first time and try to find answers to the pressing issues of the city.
Blind date “Urban Realities” will focus on the problem of abandoned construction pits in Ljubljana. A proposal of future uses of these sites will be developed within a discussion of the international teams and local experts. The visions for new urban realities will be presented to and discussed with the audience in a public event at 20.00 in Museum of Architecture and Design (Ljubljana).
What is your view on abandoned pits? Join us and share your experience!
Five groups will be also present at the Blind date in MAO with their videos: ONYA collective (Israel), Nicolas Ziesel (France), Heide Schicht and Astghik Der Sakarian and Marcus Taxer and Patrick Jaritz (Austria), Andreas Meyer (Austria), Radostina Radulova and Deniza Radulova (Germany).
Project partners of Blind date “Urban Realities” are the platform of European architecture Wonderland, Museum of Architecture and Design and KUD C3.
