Zuneigung Audiovisual Performance at Baltic Analog Lab:

Tuesday, March 24, 19:00 Baltic Analog Lab
An audio-visual film screening with artist in residence Sander Saarmets together with producer Marlene Rutzendorfer who will present a work-in-progress preview of their performance “Zuneigung”. Conceived as an open and evolving form, the evening offers a glimpse into the film’s development through a live, process-oriented approach.
The screening is accompanied by a live soundtrack, composed in real time using modular synthesizers and predominantly analog sound processes, drawing direct inspiration from the tactile, material nature of analog film production. The live composition mirrors the film’s analog processes – embracing unpredictability, physical interaction, and the real-time transformations.
The “Anthology Film Project” is being created in cooperation with artists, filmmakers, and poets, and is produced by Movies in Wonderland as a reflection on affection as a political dimension with regards to democracy and the commons.
As part of the evening, fellow Baltic Analog Lab resident Hanga Tóth presents “Color Discussions”, an installation for two 16mm projectors, where looped, cameraless films engage in an unpredictable dialogue through constantly shifting rhythms.

Meanwhile, on Friday, March 27 at 19:00, we invite you to a group event of all March residents, featuring Sander Saarmets (EST), Hanga Tóth (HU), and Berk Yağlı (CY).

The event will take place in the Baltic Analog Lab 2nd-floor residence rooms, Lienes iela 19a.
