Edible Cities Kick-Off Meeting

The Edible Cities kick-off meeting in Brussels marked the start of a new Erasmus+ collaboration focused on transforming vacant urban spaces into opportunities for green jobs, youth engagement, and sustainable urban development.

More on the news

At the end of April, we joined the kick-off meeting of the new Erasmus+ project Edible Cities in Brussels, where we are participating as a project partner. On 28–29 April, the eight partner organisations from across Europe came together to plan the next steps for the upcoming three years. The meeting was hosted by our Belgian partner Connect Brussels.

During the two-day meeting, we held workshops, discussed project management and upcoming activities, and exchanged ideas. As part of the workshop programme, the partners visited a local park farm in Brussels as an example of how vacant urban spaces can be transformed into green hubs that encourage learning, collaboration, and community engagement.

Edible Cities focuses on transforming vacant urban spaces into opportunities for green jobs, youth engagement, and sustainable urban development. Together with our partners, we are now working on the next project outputs, including a handbook, training programmes, a MOOC platform, and international youth camps.

We are excited about the collaboration and look forward to the next steps!
